KAPU SURNAME AND GOTRALU: There are many surnames in the Kapu / Telaga / Balija / Naidu community in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu states in India.  Some of the very common Gothrams found in the Kapu community are Janakula, Mahipala, Paidipaala, Raghukula, Kasyapa, Dhanunjaya, Athreya, Achyuta to name a few and there are lots of other Gotrams. Telaga/Kapu Community also has the title Reddy in their Surnames in Coastal Andhra Region.Some Kapu/Telaga Surnames end with the title Neni which is a derivation of Senani. Kapu, Balija, Telega, Munnuru Kapu, Turpu Kapu, Ontari (Kapu), Balija Naidu. (Naidu) The word Naidu in Andhra and Telangana means Kapu/ Telaga/ Ontari/ Tuurpu Kapu community. In Nellore it refers to Kammas. Here Kapu means Reddy.  In Rayalaseem Naidu can be either Balija Naidu or Kamma Naidu.  In Kurnool Naidu means Balija Naidu.
