At the outset, it is to be submitted that Absolute Sterility is Rare & Non Existent in Women. In most cases the Deficiency lies with Men! Its a fact, the Males determine the sex of the child & not the Females. Sadly, they were subjected to Harassment (in India esp - Rural) in not getting a Male child to sustain the Lineage! Of course,Things are changing of late !

Basics : 

1.Primary Check lists ! Check 

✅If there is a promise / Otherwise in the chart - in begetting a Progeny 

✅If yes - Whether through Natural/ Aided process ( ART) 

❌If No - Weather by Adoption or by another means.

 

✅The dividing line between Blessings or Otherwise is very thin & not easily to decipher! Often, Many astros go wrong on these!

☔ ( In fact We, both have Thithishunya in 5 & 8 houses with issues in its Karaka too - But still blessed after delays) 

2. The blessings needs to be seen by Analysing both the charts. 

✅The Karaka for Child is JUPITER & the karaka for creation is SUN.

✅Hence in a Males Horoscope - We need to see if Sun & Jupiter are in good Dignity.

 

✅In the Female Horoscopes - We need to see the dignity of Jupiter & Venus ( instead). 

3. The following aspects & their dignity in the charts are to be gone through, before answering a question in Astrology .

👉All these 4 aspects needs to assigned Equal importance and the Probability & Timing needs to be Deciphered.

👉If 3are favorable - High & if only one is - difficult and requires further waiting! 

4. This topic could also be seen as existance of Putra Bhagya/ Putra Dosha/ Putra Soham! 

✅Putra Bhagya - Blessings in a Normal way.

✅Putra Dosha - Denial High. 

✅Putra Soham - Delay, with ART aid/support, Birth with Defects etc. 

5.There is a Tamil saying that - Rain/ Putra/ Spouse - all need Almighty's blessing in Abundance! Hence, - Even the Astrologer should have been adequately blessed to predict these with Accuracy.

6. In short,The most important factors are the dignity of Karaka( JU), Bhava( 5H) & Its Lord ( 5L) 

⚡Ex: For Pisces - Putra Karaka is JU( who is LL too), Putra Bhava is Cancer - so the planets tenented therein & Its Lord is Moon are to be seen mainly! 

⚡If they are in good Dignity - Its mostly guranteed ( we can ignore other minor supplimentary rules).

7.The Factors - impediment in getting a Progeny are 

👉In the Natal horoscope - Jupiter - if encounters the Nodes - Rahu/ Ketu First, viz poised to touche them first in its movement.

☔Ex : JU in SAG & RAHU in Pisces with No planets in between . This means - Even though they are far apart in distance - they are destined to move towards each other with no planets on the way! 

This indicates Putra Dosha

👉 The Karaka for Uterus is Chandra - The Moon! If in a Female Horoscope - there are no other planets between Moon & Rahu and they are directed towards Each other - Putra Dosha. 

👉 Thus if the Natal JU/ Moon are slated to move towards the Nodes without any planets posited in between - Its Putra Dosha. 

👉 Hence Natives with such placements should be advised to get themselves Checked beforehand, commence treatment even before Marriage & be ready for Conception without avoidable delays! 

👉 It is submitted, such conditions impede only the birth of the First Child - not the subsequent ones ! 👍💐

☔we see many such cases in real life ( My mom delivered her first child after 3 years - but then had 5 more in the normal course ) . ☔In another case - I have seen delays & the couple adopting a child & but gave birth to one therafter! 

🕵️My teacher says that in about 73% cases - this JU/ Moon Towards & Touching the Nodes first plays a significant part in Denial.

 👉 The Putrabhavathipathi ( 5L ) if placed in close conjunction with Nodes - Rahu& Ketu or Sun ( Combustion) -

👉 In Nadi system - There is a concept - called Paryayam - indicating Groups of 9 Nakshatras.

( pardon - I dont know much on this -)  

👉 If the last - 9 th Nakshatras in that grouping are 

⚡Ashlesha/ Jyeshtha/ Revati lorded by Mercury!

⚡If the planet with highest degree HD) is in Mercury's Nakshatra or The LD planets in Mercury's Nakshatra  

 Then Putra Dosha is indicated. ( irrespective of Lagna) .

☔Ex : Scorpio ASC - if the 5L Jupiter is placed in Jyeshta - 4pada & if JU is Either in LD/ HD degrees. 

👉 These Natives should Match / Marry with a guy whose Running Dasha - MD/ AD is not that of Mercury & Planets placed in the Nakshatra of Mercury to enable Early conception

8.In General

 👉 The Natives with HD Planet ( AK in Jaimini parlance) in the Nakshatra of Mercury - Dont get children easily ( 28% of Childless Horos as per Sirs Database).

 👉They mostly get by resorting to ART - Assisted Conception! 

 

👉Thus ME signifies Progenies through Artificial Assistance ( Test tube baby etc).

9. Progeny is indicated by 5H & Adoption - 8H! 

👉Any connection between 5H/ 8H & its lords by PAC and in mutual Nakshatra etc support Progenies through Adoption.

⚡For LEO - JU Lords 5 & 8 H

⚡For AQU - ME lords 5 & 8 H 

⚡In these cases JU & ME solely decide if the Native will have to resort to adoption. 

10.This 5 & 8 L connection indicates Abortions/ premature delivery. In few cases, such children if born, may be given away in adoption too later ✅

11. Natural Malefic ( Nodes/ SAT/ Mars) - If more than one of them if conjunct in 5H - Indicates Putra Dosha.

12. We may wonder - several cases with Rahu/ Shani in 5H get Progenies! 

👉 5H is the Gain of 7H! Hence in such cases - they enjoy the fruits of Either one only - viz.

 if the relationship with Spouse is Cordial - then problems with children.

 

👉If Love/ Fantastic care with Children - Issues with Spouse.

 

👉we see Many cases - Termination of Conjugal bliss between couples after birth of a child - mostly with such placements.

13. Thus this 5H/ 7H connection By PAC & in mutual Nakshatras indicate Problems in Progeny / Problems from Progeny ( Defective birth - Adopted - Single child with more Concerns) or Problems with Spouse - Either one!

14. So, Putra Dosha should not be construed with the placement of its Karaka JU alone - like its in debility/ Combust etc .

👉Genetic Problems are indicated by JU & SUN.

 

👉In Males SUN - SAT conjunction indicates problems in Motility ( few consider VE too) - Sun creation & Sat slow movement). Such people should immediately resort to right treatment & should not defer/ delays to succeed.

👉The Natives with horoscopes with Putra Dosha/ Soham - Should not resort to voluntary delays in effort & Treatment to minimise the pain/ disappointments.

15.Remedy : 🔱

✅ Frequent Baths in Ocean/ Holy waters esp in Places like Rameswaram & Tiruchendur.

✅ Desisgnated Yagna/ Fore Rituals like Putra Kamayeshti yagam, Santhana Gopala Yagna etc. 

 

❌ However, if results of such Yagna is positively indicated or not needs to be seen! 

❌ If 5H has MARs Either by Aspect/ Conjunction or by Lordship - This remedies will not work.

 

❌ Also if 8L is connected to 5H by Asp/ Conjunction with 5L - Remedies dont work. 

✅ However, Prayers with Devotion may work wonders ( I can vouch).

16. Revision & Summary 💯

Putra Dosha/ Soham is indicated if,

1. Natal JU/ MOON if poised towards RAHU/ KETU without any other planet in between.

2. The Karaka Planets JU/ SUN if afflicted.

 

3. 5th Bhava if afflicted by more than one Malefic by Conjunction/ Aspect.

4. If the 5L is combust/ closely conjunct with Rahu.

5. 5L/7L Mutual connection by PAC & Nakshatra.

6. 5L/ 8L connection or conjunction.

17. Mathematical way from Classics 🙏

✅The Classics have signified a wonderful methodology to calculate - the potential of individual Male/ Female to bear children! 

✅The concept of Beeja Sphuta & Kshetra Sphuta - reflecting the Fertility! 

✅These are given in horoscopes generated in JHORA! 

✅This also needs to be factored in - to reach out to 90% Accuracy in prediction

18 . Moon in 7H too causes problems in sustaining the relationship after Progeny.

👉 5H is child & 7H is 3rd from 5H, indicates where the efforts are directed to Achieve this! 

👉MOON is Polygamous & hence indicates some defect in sustaining this relationship. 

( In fact I had made a one liner post on Moon in 7H - in my early days of Astro learning - 2019) 

👉 Hence this 5 -7 connection does give some issues in sustenance of relationships esp after child birth - in majority cases.

⚡Ex : Moon in CAP & RAHU in ARIES with no planets in between. HD planet is JU - Placed in Jyeshta Nakshatra! 

Hence Putra Dosha

19. The Natal chart is of Primary relavance showing Promise! Its fructification is indicated by relevant MD/ AD/ PAD & Transits.

 

👉Thats, why the classics give primary importance to the Natal Chart - not Dasha / Gochara in predicting Progenies! 

👉Creation/ Seeding is primary - other factors aid in Quality & Timing only. 

20. In few cases loaded with heavy Karmic baggage - The Natal charts may not reflect this aspect! In such, Prediction through PRASHNA is very helpful.

21. Also any suggestion to for Treatment like ART etc should be assisted by Favorable Dasha and Gochara! 

⚡It should be noted that success thro ART is not possible without the blessings of the Nodes - By Rahu- Ketu
