Karako Bhava Nasthi - Rules & Exceptions :  A few insights ! ( Credits : Astro GK Sir🙏🙏🙏)

1. "Karaka" implies Multiple Significations of an Individual or Planet.

( EX : Me,an individual with  a name is - a father to my kid,Son to my dad, Spouse to my wife,Student to my teacher etc .. ! Hence the same individual is get to viewed in different perspectives - Karakatwam ) 

2. Every planet has such multiple Significations - Ex Sun is Father, Politics, Honesty etc..

3. If any such significations( Karakatwam) of the planet get affected/ Destroyed/ Muted in certain designated  Bhavas/ Houses - Its called Karako - Bhava - Nasthi( KBN). Either the Karakatwa or the Bhavphal gets affected! 

4.This is similar to the Electrical Energy flow ( One End should be +ve & the other -ve : Both cant be + or -). Hence one Karaka could be in another - dissimilar Bhava or the Bhavathipathi placed in a different Karaka House.

5.Hence, If A Planet signifying a Particular Karakatwa - sits in the Bhava signifying the identical Karaka - Results in KBN ! 

👉Ex : The Karaka for  Children  GURU - if placed in the 5H - which the Bhava signifying Children - Its KBN

6. A Planet signifying a Thing/ Relationship if sits in Bhava signifying the same, its KBN. That is, the concerned Karakatwam gets destroyed by that Bhava ! Pain- Loss of growth etc ! 

7. This is the Dictum/ Rule for KBN ! 

👉Are there any Exceptions? - Certainly yes! 👉Every Rule in Jyotish comes with Riders/ Exceptions. 

The Expertise of a Jyotish - lies mostly in identifying these exceptions while delienating the Charts! 

8.  Few Main Karakas are Sun- Father, Moon- Mom, Mars- Brother, ME- younger sister-Mat.Uncle, Lover, Sat - Servant, Kuladeiva, VE- Wife, Aunt, Elder sister/ Daughter, JU- Child, Mentor etc ..]

The Nodes dont have any  Specific Bhava karaka! 

9. Let us consider SURYA ( Sun) :  

👉 If Sun is placed in 9H(Father) - Its  KBN is the Rule! 

👉 The Exception is - if that 9H is its Swashetra/ House of Exhaltation ( here Leo/ Aries) - NO KBN operates! 

👉 In fact, KBN gets mitigated to certain extent even when its debilitated - say in Libra! 

👉So KBN gets cancelled when the planet is in Full strength or Weakness 

👉 Ex: Leo lagna - Sun in 9H of Aries : Karakam & Bhava both strong - No KBN here ( Exception overrides the Rule) 

👉Ex : Leo Lagna - JU in 5H - SAG : No KBN (Exception) 

10.  Thus a Planet when placed in Swashetra (own sign) or in Exhaltation - will not give KBN is the Dictum 👍

9. In Short -❌ KBN simply inflicts a HEAVY BURDEN - Which is very Painful to Bear with or beyound your capacity! 

👉 Ex : Dhanur Lagna - Guru in 5H - Aries is KBN! This implies that the Native will undergo lot of pain/strain inthe matters of Children like Denial/ Struggles in bringing them up!

10. Similarly VE if placed in 7H - does not give KBN for Aries/ Scorpio/ Virgo (Because its in Libra/ Taurus/ Pisces as 7H) 

11. Kumbha ( AQU) Lagna - Venus in 7H - Simha is a virulent KBN ! 

👉 Venus is a Yoga karaka for AQU - but is also a Bhadaka lord. This KBN & Bhadakaship overrides Yogakaraka & inflicts misery in relationships for AQU! 

👉 Such a placement may give Maraka effect - Like denial/ Absence of conjugal bliss/Living far away from each other etc

12. When does this KBN operate ? 

👉 This is activated in full during the concerned planets MD/ AD/ PAD 

👉 Ex: One case of AQU Asc with VE in 7H : Could not sustain even when married Twice - that too in VE dasha & VE in own star 

👉 Ex : One Makara ( CAP) Asc with VE in 7H - lost his job after Marriage - because he was constrained to spend more time with spouse - to satisfy her demands. 

👉These despite VE being the Yoga karaka for AQU/ CAP! 

13. Thus KBN - Drives the Native's, Entire focus on the concerned Bhava & Makes him Mentally  exert more & suffer as a consequence. 

👉 Remedy : Mentally remain Detached from that Bhava under KBN (No excessive attachment)

💯 Exclusive Findings of GK sir ( Based on his Research) 

1. The Exception Rules of KBN - Imply that Native gets good Bonding with that Bhava! 

👉 Ex: Taurus Lady with Mars in 7H- Sco! 

👉 This implies very strong feeling of Bonding/ Dependency on the Spouse - like they cant live without their presence! This - even when there are other issues of aggression/ anger / fights in between! 

👉 Ex: Virgo Male with VE in 7H - Pisces.

👉This Virgo Male - even if the first wife goes - immediately tends to get a 2nd one - cant remain without one! 

👉 Also even if his spouse - because of his bad Economy, runs away with someone else - but if returns after sometime - the Native will forgive, Accept & Start living together !

 👉 Thus, it gives Attachment to that Strong Bhava & bonding & broad minded approach towards it !

Any planet in his Karako - Bhava, if placed in its own house/in Exhaltation does not give KBN - No Karako- Bhava- Nasthi!
