One of the most important house which discloses lot of things about you and your family. So today I will share my experience about 2nd house related matters. 

(1) 2nd house represents your finances, family, speech, face and moral values which you get from your family. Jupiter is karaka for this house. This house also shows the responsibilities you take. If your 2nd lord is well placed in chart then you take responsibilities of many people in life. 

(2) If any client approaches you then how to check from what kind of family this native belongs to or how is finances of this native. This 2nd house will give you the answer. 

(3) The strength of 2nd lord discloses many things about the family background. If the 2nd lord is well placed then definitely native will belong family with good financial status. For example- Saturn is 2nd lord and exalted in libra with mercury. Libra is sign of business so this native can belong to a family of merchants whose business can be related to mercurian things like skin, stationary etc. 

(4) Jupiter, Sun, Moon are the best planets in terms of financial status of family. Saturn and ketu are not invited here which I will explain later. Let's discuss different planets in 2nd house one by one. 

SUN- As I said one of the best planet in terms of financial status of family. These are खानदानी type of people. Their family is well known wherever they live and they can have lots of government servant's in their family. But One problem is there with this placement is that these people have very harsh/rude speech which generally disturbs their married life. So people with this placement should take care of this otherwise it's very good Placement for status and finances of family. These people may also be involved in some family business work or there can be generations which are following same profession. 

MOON - 2nd house is the exaltation house for moon. Moon also gives good financial status of family. They(even cancer ascendant people) generally say money doesn't matters to them but they are most money minded people. Have very good knowledge about cooking, even by just taste of any food they can write down the ingredients of food. Have very soft voice and talk very politely with other people. 

JUPITER - Now it's the best planet one can have in this house. These people are very fortunate even if Jupiter is debilitated in this house. Even just Jupiter's aspect on 2nd lord changes whole dynamics in results of this house. These people are either born in joint family or have big family with lots of siblings. Have big eyes and they like to eat in big utensils. Always their is smile on their face. This just one placement shows some divine blessings on them and although they have very good finances but still due to some bad dashas if they generally don't see financial crunch and money comes to them from somewhere. Family is very supportive. 

MERCURY- again good Placement but mercury here can make someone chatterbox. They talk a lot. But on contrary to this it's afflicted by ketu/scorpio or even Saturn sometimes then it can give stammering issues or child speaks quite later in childhood so it's one of the dicey placement also because placement of mercury is good here but it's affliction can trouble you through speech. Suppose Mars aspect or conjuction here then they reply very fast and have good sense of humor too. 

VENUS- very good in terms of finances and can also show this native may Belong to family of merchants as venus rules libra sign. Have very good voice but very diplomatic also. Venus is the planet of diplomacy so wherever it Sits that quality comes naturally to the native. 

MARS- very protective people for their family especially if Mars 8th aspect falling on it rather than Mars placement. Whenever mars here money flow cannot be constant or linear, it's more like sinusoidal curve i.e sometimes good or sometimes quite cold. Same goes with their home environment sometimes very good environment and sometimes very cold environment. Also they might be brought up in very stressful family environment due to strict parents or money conerns. There can be some teeth misalignment or gaps between teeths because they can't hold brush for long time. So take care of teeth and one thing which I have found very effective in terms of teeth issues is that brush from neem sticks/दातुन which was used by people earlier. Atleast use it twice or thrice in one month. 

SATURN- See whenever this planet will come to 2nd house or even aspect it without any benefic association on 2nd then one thing is sure, these natives have to see financial crunch during their childhood. Not necessarily for whole life but in childhood they have to see the financial crunch and it's in earthy sign then these people have clear motive through career is that they have to earn lots of money. So this placement is bit dicey interms of finances that too in childhood days. If saturn is futher afflicted here then these people can be frequent liars also as Saturn is karaka for lie. 

RAHU- See this is very good Placement interms of money generation and family background from financial perspective is also good although that source may not be legal but still good from financial perspective. These people know how to make money. Teeth issues can be there especially gaps between the teeth so take care of that. 

KETU- Again I call this as not very combination but there is exception. Finances of these people suffer only if they stay with their family or in hometown. The moment they leave their family many opportunities hits them and they start earning good. So whoever have this placement I generally suggest them to stay away from their family. Another thing is that these people develop the feeling of detachment over the period of time from their family members. After certain point they are like doing a lot for their family but without any emotional attachment for them. These people speak less and have low pitch but if Mars comes in trikona to this ketu then opposite of this happens. These people very often feel like something is struck in their neck. 

Now since you guys have survived till last of this article one bonus trick of 2nd house. 2nd house also shows your family moral and upbringings. So if 2nd lord is not well placed and afflicted then family upbringing of that native is not good. And you can take this 2nd lord in check it's association in other divisional charts like if 2nd lord of d1 is afflicted in navamsha then it means family upbringing of this native is not that good interms of marriage related matters and IT CAN ONE OF THE COMBINATIONS OF EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIR.
