Their relative strength (Shadbala) determines which influence predominates

  - Challenging planets in difficult houses (6, 8, 12) can be extremely problematic

  - Their difficulty reduces in beneficial houses, especially if in a friend's house

  - Similar principles apply to beneficial planets

  - Exalted

  - Directionally powerful (digbali)

  - In Moola Trikona
